Vaccine Shipments
- Our vaccine allocations for July are continuing to provide more opportunities for residents to get first and second vaccinations
- All 12+ are eligible for first doses – it is important to get vaccinated to protect yourself and those around you
- All 12+ are eligible to book earlier second dose:
- 8 weeks after first dose of AstraZeneca
- 21 days after first dose of Pfizer
- 28 days after first dose of Moderna
- More appointments continue to be available in all areas including community clinics
- Walk in vaccinations are becoming more available at all clinics – watch our Facebook, Twitter or Instagram or your local media –share with others when you hear extra doses are available
- Book an appointment through the Leeds, Grenville and Lanark online booking portal or call Leeds, Grenville and Lanark Call Centre 1-844-369-1234
- Pharmacies have both Moderna and Pfizer – find a participating pharmacy – some out of this area have AstraZeneca
- We are also working on a targeted strategy to provide vaccinations at some Leeds, Grenville and Lanark workplaces as well as to other groups
- Submit cancellation requests online to help free up appointments for those who want one
- You can also find the contingency list for those who want to try to get their vaccine earlier than a booked appointment.
- If you didn’t receive a receipt for your vaccine, you can access a digital copy by logging in with your Ontario Health Card at this website; if you have trouble, send an email to: contact@healthunit.org.
- Canada’s National Advisory Committee on Immunization (NACI) and the Ontario Government support ‘mixing vaccines’ or vaccine interchangeability meaning you can receive one vaccine product for your first dose and a different vaccine product for your second dose to complete your two-dose vaccine series.
- Moderna and Pfizer are both mRNA vaccines that work in the same way and are considered interchangeable.
- If you have any unusual symptoms after the vaccine – please report them directly to your health care provider.
