Dog Licences are available at the Village Office. The Village of Westport would like to remind dog owners of our By-Laws in effect. See below for further information.
2026 dog licences will expire as of December 31, 2026. Dog Licence Applications are available at Town Hall. Dog owners are required to licence each dog they own. Dog owners are required to complete an Application and pay the applicable fee of $17.00 per licence if purchased before March 31st. After March 31st the fee goes up to $34.00 per licence. Licences can be purchased at Town Hall.

Notice to Dog Owners of Westport
The running of dogs within the municipality is prohibited. The owner(s) of any dog running at large within the municipality shall be guilty of a breach of Dog By-law #85-12, and liable on conviction to a penalty in Section 11 of the By-Law of $50.00, exclusive of costs recoverable under the Provincial Offences Act.
Off-Leash Dog Park Rules
There are no off-leash dog parks in the Village of Westport.
