TAKE NOTICE that the Corporation of the Village of Westport received a Zoning By-law Amendment application, which was deemed to be a complete application on September 4th, 2025.

AND TAKE NOTICE that the Corporation of the Village of Westport will hold a Public Meeting with respect to the proposed Zoning By-law Amendment at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday, July 28th, 2026 in the Council Chambers of the municipal office located at 30 Bedford Street in the Village of Westport to consider the following item:

  • A proposed site-specific amendment to Comprehensive Zoning By-law 08-12 under Section 34 of the Planning Act, R.S.O., 1990, Chapter P.13 for the property municipally known as 48 Bedford Street. The purpose and effect of the amendment is to rezone the Subject Site from Residential Type 1 (R1) Zone to two site-specific Residential Type 2 Zones in order to facilitate the proposed development of two three-unit residential dwellings and one carriage house with an additional residential unit. The existing lot is proposed to be severed through a future severance application. Zoning relief is requested to alter certain performance standards such as yard setbacks, lot frontage, parking, and accessory building height.

ANY PERSON may attend the Public Meeting and/or make written or verbal representation in support of or in opposition to the above item(s). In the event that you are unable to attend the meeting but wish to submit written comments, please attempt to ensure that comments are delivered to the Clerk’s office prior to the meeting.
